PERC President Michael Turner will attend the Harvard Law School Program on International Financial Systems’ (PIFS) Thirteenth Annual Symposium on Building the Financial System of the 21st Century: An Agenda for Japan and the United States. The symposium will be a dialog on capital markets, financial regulation, and international finance. Participants will discuss new banking regulations and their implications for international banking, macro-prudential control and a new regulatory regime, and desirable macro-economic policy.

Dr. Michael Turner will present PERC research on credit information sharing, including credit file data quality and the social and economic impacts of including non-financial payment data in FCRA-regulated consumer and commercial credit files. Other panelists include Vikki Frank of Credit Builders Alliance and Mark Rukavina of The Access Project.

PERC's Dr. Robin Varghese will serve as a presenter of credit information and a moderator of group discussion at APEC's "Getting Credit for Small and Medium Enterprises" seminar this September in Japan. and How to Include in the Credit Reporting System," on May 5, the final day of the "Role of the Credit Bureau in Access to Finance and Credit Risk Management" conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dr. Michael Turner will serve on the keynote panel on April 16, 2010 at FICO World 2010 (formerly called InterACT). The panel, on Regulatory Revolution, will discuss the relationship between governments and financial services, caused (or exacerbated) by the economic crisis.
