PERC’s Director of Research, Patrick Walker, presented the “Role of alternative data providers” at an IFC/Central Bank of Suriname sponsored credit reporting conference. This presentation highlighted the value of including non-financial data in credit reporting systems, particularly for newly developed systems in emerging markets. The business case for utility/telecom and other non-financial data providers was also discussed.
